Location

UCSB is located a few minutes north of the city of Santa Barbara, only 92 miles north of Los Angeles. With the recently improved Santa Barbara Airport (SBA) just next door to the campus, UCSB is easy to reach by air.

The Santoro Lab is located in the Marine Biotechnology Laboratory (recently renamed the Benioff Ocean Sciences Laboratory) near Campus Point (scroll down for a map). Note that this is NOT the Marine Science Research Building.

Parking: Contact your host to arrange a parking permit in at least a week in advance or discuss other transit options to campus. Parking may also be available within Coastal Access spots in Lots 5 and 6, though use of these spots is discouraged for University business. You can pay for these at the paystation in Lot 6, or with the ParkMobile app. Failing that, the parking structure (Lot 10) is the next best option. Allow 10-15 minutes to walk to the Marine Biotech building from Lot 10.
