Nicola receives her PhD in Marine Science (and starts a postdoc)!

Nicola's dissertation focused on the role of microbes in remineralizing sinking particulate organic matter as part of the ocean's biological carbon pump.

While this research might have earned her a PhD, Nicola is also highly educated in the use of memes. Particularly in memes which convey and support her research during lab presentations.

Furthermore, Nicola has started a postdoctoral position in the Santoro Lab, and we're incredibly happy to have her!
